Welcome to the 2012 Bay Area Go Red For Women Luncheon! We are pleased to have your participation in this special day and are thankful for your support of the American Heart Association. Your generous donations propel the ground-breaking research and education needed to combat the number one threat to women's lives-cardiovascular disease.
Each year heart disease and stroke take the lives of nearly 500,000 women-approximately one life every minute. With the help of the influential and inspiring women and men with us today, we are making a difference and saving lives.
Not only is today's event important in funding research and public health education, it is also a time to come together as a Bay Area community to create a movement for change. Today we celebrate you. We celebrate your heart, as well as the heart of every woman you love.
Enjoy the day and take charge of your health!
Following the morning's events, we will enjoy a delicious, heart-healthy lunch, followed by remarks from our keynote speaker.
Once again, thank you for 'Going Red' and for joining together as a community in the national fight against heart disease and stroke among women. We are most appreciative of your support and look forward to a happy, healthy year ahead.
